Wayne Dalton originated in the mid-1900s, when Emanuel Mullet purchased a small garage door business in Ohio. Mullet started developing his business in an Amish farming community, where he and his team of skilled Amish craftsmen began assembling wooden garage doors for homes. The company expanded over the next several decades. It soon began manufacturing its own wood and steel doors for both homes and businesses.
Today, Wayne Dalton continues to expand and innovate, regularly introducing new products and technology. They now offer steel, wood, vinyl, fiberglass, and aluminum doors for homes and high-speed, rolling, and sectional doors for businesses.
