This month in the Des Moines garage door repair industry, we’re turning the spotlight on Tonya Williams.
Tonya is a committed, hard-working employee and a joy to be around. She started with our team in January of 2015, but she fits so well into our culture at WD Door that it feels like she’s been around forever. She comes from an accounting, billing, and customer service background, which translates directly to her crucial role as our service scheduler. Originally from Arkansas, Tonya has a charming southern drawl, which all of us “Northerners” enjoy. Words like “oil,” “cement,” and “milk” give us a chuckle when we hear them come from her. Her southern charm is definitely a plus when it comes to working with both pleasant and difficult customers! Outside of work, Tonya enjoys her grandkids, camping, swimming and watching sports.
Tonya is on the front lines of our garage door business in Des Moines and is a tremendous asset to WD Door. She gracefully handles multiple tasks at once and is extremely organized in scheduling garage door service with our technicians and making sure our valued customers are well taken care of. Her communication skills are top notch, making her job seem effortless, although it is one of the toughest and challenging jobs at our company. Tonya makes the rest of our jobs so much easier by handling the bulk of our incoming phone calls and walk-ins. In short, we couldn’t make things work so smoothly without her!
