Opening the Door for First Responders

The COVID-19 pandemic is at the top of everyone’s mind right now, as we navigate our way through stay-at-home orders, the closing of various businesses and schools, new at-home workspaces or classrooms, and even possible unemployment. However, we've also seen numerous stories of generosity that offer positivity to help us get through these uncertain times.

Our Community

There is a special group of people right in our community that has been dealt an overwhelming hand: first responders. We are incredibly grateful for these people and the  time they are spending on the front lines of our health and wellness. The last thing our medical staff and other essential workers need to worry about right now is a broken or damaged garage door.

A properly functioning garage door is crucial not only to home maintenance, but also for allowing first responders to get to work on time, every time, the moment they are needed. If the door doesn’t open all the way as a result of a broken spring, it could cause irreversible damage to the entire garage door system.

Our New Initiative

Our team at WD Door is thrilled to announce our new initiative to give back to our own heroes by providing free residential garage door repairs through the end of May.

“Whether a broken garage door is preventing them from getting to work, or is just a financial burden, first responders don’t need something like that slowing them down,” said Jeff Myers, owner of WD Door. “These brave men and women are doing so much for our community, and this is the least we can do to say thank you.”

We understands how busy these critical workers are, and this initiative is designed to reduce their stress and do what we can to help.

How You Can Help

Become a part of this critical mission by cancelling any standing, non-emergent appointments with us so we can prioritize our own local heroes during this time.

“Pay it forward” by helping out your own neighbors whenever you can: drop off groceries, wave through a window, or give them a call!

If you do have problems with your garage door, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us immediately! Our on-call technicians are always here to help you, especially during these unprecedented times.

Remember: we are all in this together! Stay healthy, and stay safe.
